I'm making a sister site for TED.
Here's the info:
A horse site [*Gasp!*]. It will be for Thoroughbreds, Quarter horses, and maybe a couple other eventing breeds.
There will be horse track racing, maybe a steeplechase, and Show Jumping.
Members could be either a: Breeder, Trainer, or Jockey.
A breeder would, obviously, breed the horses on the site.
I would try to implement at least some basic genetics, for coat colors, etc.
The trainer would either be paid a certain amount for training each horse, or be paid __% of wins. They or the breeder would have to buy items from the shop, to use while training. They would earn points each day that they log in and do certain actions. They use those points to train the horse. The points they use goes to the horse, and boosts their Potential. The amount the horse gains would depend on a lot of things, such as: What quality of items that are being used, bought from the shop. If they use high quality stuff, the horse learns faster. If they use some junk found out of a garbage truck, they learn slower.
They jockey would be paid a salary, per week.
As for the races, the other members [that don't have a horse entered in that particular race] can bet on the horse they think will win.
Now you might be wondering, how are the wins decided?
I will run the races, and judge by experience, health, and Potential. Then if two or more horses is tied in those areas, I'll use Random.org to randomly select the winner. That way, it truly is random.
Other expenses include: Race Registry fees, Horse Registry fees, Hay/Grain for the horses, and possibly boarding.
There will also be A studbook, and buying&selling of horses.
Of course, there will also be Role Play So you can have humans too, while rping. To play the jockey, trainer, and owners.
What do you guys think? I would appreciate some suggestions/constructive criticism.
Also, I'll be looking for Moderators, Payroll Manager, Race Judges, Skinner, Graphics Designer, and Layout Designer.
--Also need an Epic Name for the Site--
