.:YoU cAn'T sPelL sLaUgHtEr WiThOuT lAuGhTeR:.I was thoroughly pleased with myself. I now had claimed a liar for which my herd would reside. Sadly I didn't even have to fight anyone for it. That took away some of my fun. It would have been all too pleasing to look into the orbs of my beaten opponent as I walked away victorious. Too bad. I would have just as much fun finding mares now. I had been plodding along at a trot, and only when my daggers sunk into golden sands did I take note of my surroundings. The area was no longer thick and swampy, instead it was clear and listless. The moon shown off the smooth ground as far as the eye could see. Not much fun for hide and go seek... This was a new experience for me, I had only heard tales of the great spans of deserts. My blue optics scanned the horizon, just waiting to lock onto the form of another horse. I was slightly disappointed to find I seemed to be the only one out wondering this beautiful night. My maw parted as a shrill, scream like whinny echoed through the night, ringing off the great dunes of sand. With my luck some half wit stallion would show up instead of the company I oh so craved. My pillars moved into a steady trot as I continued to survery the land and seek my next victim. Before I knew it I was contentedly humming to myself. Come with us and you will see This, our town of Halloween
This is Halloween, this is Halloween Pumpkins scream in the dead of night
This is Halloween, everybody make a scene Trick or treat till the neighbors gonna die of fright It's our town, everybody screm In this town of Halloween
I am the one hiding under your bed Teeth ground sharp and eyes glowing red
I am the one hiding under yours stairs Fingers like snakes and spiders in my hair
This is Halloween, this is Halloween
Halloween! Halloween! Halloween! Halloween! In this town we call home Everyone hail to the pumpkin song
In this town, don't we love it now? Everybody's waiting for the next surprise
Round that corner, man hiding in the trash cam Something's waiting no to pounce, and how you'll...
Scream! This is Halloween Red 'n' black, slimy green
Aren't you scared?
Well, that's just fine Say it once, say it twice Take a chance and roll the dice Ride with the moon in the dead of night
Everybody scream, everbody scream In our town of Halloween!
I am the clown with the tear-away face Here in a flash and gone without a trace
I am the "who" when you call, "Who's there?" I am the wind blowing through your hair
I am the shadow on the moon at night Filling your dreams to the brim with fright
This is Halloween, this is Halloween Halloween! Halloween! Halloween! Halloween! Halloween! Halloween!
Tender lumplings everywhere Life's no fun without a good scare
That's our job, but we're not mean In our town of Halloween
In this town Don't we love it now?
Skeleton Jack might catch you in the back And scream like a banshee Make you jump out of your skin This is Halloween, everyone scream Wont' ya please make way for a very special guy
Our man jack is King of the Pumpkin patch Everyone hail to the Pumpkin King
This is Halloween, this is Halloween Halloween! Halloween! Halloween! Halloween!
In this town we call home Everyone hail to the pumpkin song [/center]

She galloped, full out, her mind was a clouded whirl and she was crying. The sand flew from her hooves pounding across it. Her black coat gleemed in the moonlight. A pounding in her ears as she remembered, her parents vicous fight as her father tore the life out of her mother. Maw bloody her turned, ready to rip hers troat out too. She was beaten at that moment by no less then twenty hooves, the herd wouldn't want to miss out on a beating, as long as it wasn't them. She remembered running, her life on the brink of death.
Apple had been doing fine exactly three minutes ago, that was until she herd a horse's scream, shrill and piercing, strike through the air. It reminded her of her mothers own scream, it had unlocked her memory that usually was hidden from herself. Lily had reared at that moment and became Apple.
Lily, who was at this moment controlled by Apple, sprinted her hardest, the whites of her eyes showing. Slow down crazy! Your gonna kill yourself if you keep running like that!
No there gonna get me! There gonna get me!
My goodness! Calm down the only one that's gonna get you is me, and I won't do nothin' it's me Lily! CALM DOWN!!! Lily finally gave up and yelled her loudest.
The noise in her head caused Apple to skid to a stop, which was good really, she was standing six horse lengthes away from another horse, another second or two and she'd had trampled him over. All of a sudden the switch happened again and Lily became it control again, she smiled at the stranger and flicked her tail, much like a dog would wag it.
"Hiya!" she smiled, the childishness seeping through, "My names Lily! And this here is my sister Apple!" She reffered to the empty space beside her. "Be careful though, she's a bit of a grump."
Am not! Am not! You take that back! Stupid childish brat!
You don't mean that do you? I'm not a brat am I?
All of a sudden Lily looked like she was about to cry. Her face looked so down cast and her shoulders slumped. Not even a horse with a black hole for a heart could not feel sorry for her.

I just sort of trailed off mid-sentence as the sweet flowery scent of a fae filled my nostrils and my mind. My pace slowed into a stand still as I peered through the dark to try and spot her. After a few seconds a horses frame appeared in the distance. Whoever she was, she was going someplace in a hurry that's for sure. I nickered, a sort of throaty sound coming from me. I tilted my ears around like little radars as I watched with growing interest the mare that looked as if she'd just charge right through me. Given my large size and rather...'touchy' temper it probably wouldn't have ended well.
I tossed my crown into the air, flipping my forelock back as I danced on ebony daggers, leaving little hoof imprints in the shifting sands below. Just as I was about to lunge forward and whirl around to pursue the oncoming beauty, she just stopped dead to rights. It seems she only truly saw me after she had come to a stop which was totally backwards. My own cool blue optics sized her up, she was the color of the darkest nights with stunningly contrasting blue eyes. Definantly not small by any means she was at least as tall as myself.
My usual almost cheasy grin plastered itself on my maw as I trotted a bit closer. Pushing your luck a bit..maybe. What a change, to actually be greeted with a friendly reception by a fae. I wasn't sure whether to be disappointed or relieved. Hope shes not one of those boring types. By boring, I meant normal. Normal equines just didn't understand how I worked.
Hiya!...My names Lily! And this here is my sister Apple!...Be careful though, she's a bit of a grump. Alright so it was a refreshing change of pace to run across someone that was actually glad to see me. Lily, t'has a nice ring to it. I chuckled softly as she gestured to her 'sister'. Alright so she definantly wasn't normal. Which was good. If she had been normal I'd have been standing here bored stiff for the better of the night as I pretended to listen to some mares blab as if I truly cared.
I extended a blue roaned foreleg and generously bowed my crown to her, ebony tassels falling over my optics. Upon standing I spoke with a sort of flirty taunt in my voice. "Hello there Lilly. Well you and your sister are both absolutely stunning if I may be so bold to say.....The Lord of The Marsh at your service madam. Names Joker."
Just plain out of no where, the darling childish fae slumped down and looked so heart broken I just couldn't help myself. I closed the distance between us and tucked my muzzle in against hers for a moment. "T'aww sweetheart, don't cry, I didn't mean to laugh honest. And while we're on the subject of honesty I think your my favorite already." I grinned, tilting my crown to better observe her reaction.

Lily instantly perked as Joker comforted her. "Oh you didn't do anything. It's my sister she's been 'a picking on me all day!" Lily sniffled childishly.
Yeah that's right, milk it for all it's worth...
Shut up! I am not, you hurt my feelings that's all!
Whatever, go tell your new boyfriend about it.
"He's not my boyfriend! I just met him!" Lily said indignantly. The she looked at Joker and if horses could blush she'd be as red as a tomatoe.
She swished her tail and scuffled her hooves, "I'm sorry I guess Apple is just jealous that I made a new friend and she didn't!" Lily laughed and smiled again. Positively beaming at Joker.
You should be careful, I don't like the looks of him, he's probably a brute.
You be careful I don't shoove a hoof in you face, shut up and stop talking bad about him in front of him!
Lily, still smiling, flicked her ears back and forward, listening to the almost silent sounds of the desert. A chorus of crickets chirped quietly, and a lone coyote howled, Lily stiffened at the noise and turned her head in the direction.
"I don't know why but, I always thought coyotes were cute. What do you think?" Like the crickets near by Lily's mind never stayed in the same place for too long, she was constantly switching subjects and sometimes personalities.
She glanced at him and sized him up, he was around the same size as her, That's a miracle, almost all horses are smaller then us. She smiled as she listened to Apple's, grumpyness and surlyness. Her tail flicked and swished again. She didn't mind Joker being to close, she actually... she actually almost... liked it.

I was very obviously pleased with my rare find in this sea of sand. The fae was delusional no doubt about it, but she was also a sweet unsuspecting thing. The mares I tended to group with were a rather testy and venomous bunch. Which brought a new question to my quick thinking mind. Would it be possible to convince her to come home with you? Oh you didn't do anything. It's my sister she's been 'a picking on me all day Poor thing, she was clearly distressed. Oh well, just meant I got to be the dark handsome knight in shining armor that rescued her from lament. "Aww, now how could anyone be mean to such a sweet and purdy gal?"
I was different from the other stallions. Sure we were all fighting for the right to own land and the mares we gathered on it, but myself and them were looking for two different kinda mares. They wanted sensible, sweet, normal faes to bear foals and raise a family. On the starkly contrasting other hand I was the one who wanted all the outcasts. The crazies, the loonies, the bad tempered, the unstable, and the murderers of course. Besides, what half wit stalllion would be stupid, Or INSANE enough to steal a band of psychotic pretties from a lunatic living in the marsh?
Exactly my point. A dead one. Once I got a mare I would have to be damn near killed for another stag to take her from my sight. He's not my boyfriend! I just met him! If it was even possible for my smile to extend any more, it did. Mmm, boyfriend eh? I'm sorry I guess Apple is just jealous that I made a new friend and she didn't! I laughed and shook my crown. "There ya go Darlin, tell that ornery sister of yours who's the boss." I felt myself feeling strangely attracted to Lily, not because of her strange nature but simply because she was so sweet and unawares of the bad in the world. Unaware there was anything wrong with her mind, poor dear. If she comes with you, it'll stay that way won't it?
While my thoughts had been wondering, hers had evidently as well. That or she just had trouble staying on the same subject for any length of time. I don't know why but, I always thought coyotes were cute. What do you think? "I think their cute little critters, long as they behave themselves." By behave, I meant I had killed my fair share of the little buggers in self defense. They were stupid, to take on such a big horse even in the mangy packs they ran in.
Since the fae hadn't seemed the least bit bothered or uncomfortable with my current proximity to her own frame I set about grooming her onyx coat. It was a rather strangely protective and contenting gesture. Normally I was weary and on my toes if I was with a mare outside of my kingdom for fear another stallion would take her from me. FEAR?!?!?! 'Course not. Just spouting off and thinking that's all. "So Lily, where do you and your sister live? To stay safe from most of the stallions and things around here." Though it did kind of make sense didn't it. Anger and violence both stemmed from fear if a being were driven by it.

"So Lily, where do you and your sister live? To stay safe from most of the stallions and things around here." Live? Lily wasn't sure if they lived in any one specific place.
"Apple where have we lived before this? I don't think anywhere really, right? No home of our own, right?" Lily asked aloud, although she usually talked to her sister through her "special" mind. It never occurred to her that Apple wasn't really there. Lily cocked her head listening to something that wasn't there, as Apple replied.
Uh, well, we don't have a home. We just live where there are no stallions, but, you had to be the little "social butterfly" you are and talk to a stranger, I say we book it whilst we still can.
"No! We are not going to "book" it as you so nicely say, and he's not a stranger now, so ha! He's a friend now" Lily smiled and then looked to Joker to answer his question. "Um, well we don't have a home, or at least that's what Apple says, but, I mean she could always be wrong and is just tricking me. She does that alot." Lily smiled again her eyes bright and cheery.
A real live horse it's a miracle, we can be friends and maybe he has friends and and and, maybe we can all play together! And and and frolic and and and um, um, um I don't know have fun!
Ummm, I'm a real live horse too! And I'm your friend! Besides I don't think he's like you, he doesn't seem the type to 'frolic' or 'play' Apple said defensively, Lily had hurt her feelings.
I know... I'm sorry. I was just excited to meet another horse.
Lily bucked and whinnied happily, she was content, she had found someone to be friends with, that brought her friend count up to two! All of a sudden she realized, huh, maybe he has a home! Then we don't have to roam around by our selves!
"Do you have a home? I'd like to see it sometime if you do!" Lily wasn't one for subtly she was a blunt, childish horse and usually pretty happy.

I watched, quite enthralled. At least Lilly felt comfortable enough to speak to her sister out loud when around me now. Not that it really bothered me but I was one that liked to know what others were thinking. I laughed as the mare bucked and frolicked about. T'was strange and rather amusing to see a full grown horse acting like a foal. I was careful not to get my hopes up too high, least she accidently break them and I go on a murderous rampage across the land. Who wants to see that anyway?
Do you have a home? I'd like to see it sometime if you do! My usual smirk of pure enjoyment crept onto my velveteen kissers. "Why yes Lily, I do have a home. I am King of The Marsh." I made it a point to sort of look down, and shuffle my daggers as if I was feeling sheepish. "As a matter of fact I came out here hoping to find some others that wanted to join me. Its safe once you get there, but t'does get oh so so lonely with me by my lonesome all the time....Not to mention I'll loose my land." I tilted my crown, almost thinking. What would happen if I did lose the Marsh? I'd already made myself comfy and picked out a nice little plot of land for my future herd.
You'll go on an insane rampage, killing beating and otherwise plundering all who make their home in this world. That's what. Yeah, my brain probably was right. I didn't like the idea of earning myself a bad name among the normal folks. Not because I actually cared what they thought, but if I played my cards right it would be possible to suck up to the other lords and ask for their alliance, should I ever need it.
By now standing here for this amount of time had began to stiffen up my body, and I was beginning to feel the nip of nights chill. "Excuse me a min lil miss" As soon as the words left my maw I launched forward into the sands. I ran and bucked, kicked out wildly. When the warmth had returned to my body I returned to the mare standing before me, wondering how she'd react to my story 'bout my kingdom. Of course I'd have time to find other mares if she refused, but I'd already invested so much time to this one.

King of the marsh! I like the sound of that! Actually, I like swamps, it'll be fun! Lily enthused to her sister.
So much fun, wooh... Apple said somewhat less enthusiastically.
"Oooh! I'd love to go! We don't have a home and you need mares, you can have us! Apple says she'd love to see it too!" Lily smiled, pepping up and practically leaping to go.
Did not say I wanted to go! You just lied!
"Shut up! I want to go so we are going! Why do you always get to choose what we do?" Lily snapped back. She flicked her tail irritated at her "sister's" grump-ness.
Joker charged off and she admired his fast pace, he's warming up I guess. Way to go captain obvious! It's miss captain obvious to you! Lily laughed, thinking she was hilarious. She reared up as he came back and smiled at him. Her black body almost invisible in the night, she matched him in size and color, it was almost perfect.
I can't believe your making me go with you.
Well, I can't go alone, besides he seems to like you! Apple snorted in reply and Lily shook her head, her black tassels flying every which way. She stamped her hooves as if saying 'I won't take no for an answer!' Lily turned back to Joker again and opened her maw to ask her question.
"Can I go to your land with you? I want to see it! And maybe live there!" Lily smiled, slightly embarresed.

Oooh! I'd love to go! We don't have a home and you need mares, you can have us! Apple says she'd love to see it too! I smiled, sincerely. I was pleased to hear they'd accompany me back to the marsh. With a hint of amusement I realized I was starting to refer to her as 'they'. However I doubt Lily and her 'sister' would count as two mares sadly. She looked eager to go, which was a good thing. It was a long journey.
Can I go to your land with you? I want to see it! And maybe live there! I nickered and shook the evil sand from my pelt. The stuff just seemed to be attracted to a horses pelt. "Of course you can! We had better wait until morning and we can see though..its a fairly hard journey even when you can see." I looked towards the direction of my home longingly.
OOC: Do you maybe want to start a post in the Swampland herd area with Lilly/Apple meeting Joker on the edge of the Swamp? So she doesn't get lost Or I could if you prefer, either way.
