Joker
...YoU CaN't SpelL SlAuGhTeR WiThOuT LaUgHtEr...
The moons glistening rays shone down on my blue roaned pelt, thick muscles rippling beneath. I grinned, revealing my shining pearly whites hidden under my dark muzzle as the dense fog parted way for my burly frame. My ebony daggers tore at the soft rain soaked ground beneath as I moved into the region at a silent trot. "Ready or not here I come!!" My haunches tightened as my skull raised high into the air, my forelegs kicking out at the thick air viciously. A violent, nightmarish scream escaped my kissers as I clearly announced the Joker was in the house.
With the thick fog coupled with nights embrace it was impossible to see more than three or four feet in front of yourself. Perfect. My knife like daggers cut into the ground as I returned horizontal. It had been so long, I was ready to play. My powerful flanks hurled my bulk into a thundering gallop across the land, daggers tearing at the Earths skin as if I could gain something from it.
I would stop only when I encountered a fresh scent. A slight stir of fog brought what I was looking for, with a vengeance I forced myself faster. The sweaty lather now coating my dark hide. I initially felt confusion as the ground beneath my daggers subsided to exist. My heavy frame dropped, the sharp awaiting rocks beneath lashing out, just ready to spill my guts. Despite the impracticality I tried to right myself and gain my ground. That's when I felt the haunting of my past slipping into my desolate mind as warm crimson liquid seeped down my crania.
I grinned sadistically as the mare before me kicked out, aiming for my head. My own daggers met the challenge, raking her skin apart. Her scarlet life blood seeped out, back to the Earth as she ran for her life. I set off in pursuit. I would teach her for breaking my heart............
The blasted suns hot rays penetrated my eyelids, and I opened my aqua hued orbs to find myself laying at an awkward angle. With a soft grunt I heaved myself to my feet. Craning my neck around I spotted a steep embankment littered with sharp jutting rocks. My hide now bared a few gashes stained scarlett, and a couple smears of mud from the moist ground. I forced my aching bulk into a mellow lope to work out the kinks in my muscles. The land was still overcast and steaming with fog, but maybe I would be luckier today. It was with the same determination I set out upon my journey.

Venom
I Bite.. Her sorrel pelt was shinning and covered in sweat as she galloped through the foggy terrain. Every now and then her daggers would encounter a hole, but she was sure footed, and Venom just kept moving, paying no attention to the ground slipping and sliding beneath her feet. Cream tassels billowed out behind her as she stuck out her white nose, nares flaring, gasping for breath. Her pillars slowed as the ground became steeper, rockier, however her legs still carried her at a swift trot as her warm brown orbs surveyed her surroundings. She was bored, her mind idle. She had never gone so long without having someone to harp on, or snap at. In a way it was utterly calming, but at the same time, her anger built up inside her ready to explode...yet she never had any reason to be angry she just was, and she turned that angry into evil. She enjoyed it. The pain of others. And it was about time that she caused some. Hoof beats sounded in the distance, ringing in Venom's ears. Another horse. Perfect. She thought and set off toward the noise. Words: 191 Muse: ok Notes: They will get better as the post goes on, I promise

The weather in this land was cool and crisp, even for Spring. Any vegetation growing in this area was soggy and wilted from the continuing freeze and thaw pattern. It brought me a sort of twisted joy the way my hooves tore at the sparse plants. If they weren't already dead, they would be now. The pleasent warming sensation exercise always brought ot my muscles began to make itself known and I increased my pace. My frame was burly and muscled from all the roaming...and fighting. My intentions for coming here were unclear as of the moment. One thing was certain, I was not here for the force-breeding, though it was tempting. No mare is worthy of my spawn.
Briefly the pinto mare with bi colored optics came to mind. She would be close to foaling now. But no, she was all wrong. I will not accept it as my child. Too sweet and gentle. Too kind. Give her a week with me and I'll straighten her out. I snickered to myself, as my longshanks carried me over the land in a time consuming gallop. My black tapestries flew out behind me like a warning flag. Not that any would be smart enough to heed it. I slowed to a brisk trot, my radars twirling in every which direction. I though I had heard hoofbeats...My suspicions were confirmed as I heard them again.
A wickedly charming smile plastered itself onto my black felt maw as I forced myself towards the noise. I spy with my little eye... I slowed myself down to an eventual stand still as the mare approached. Closer scrutiny revealed her to be sorrel, with flaxen threads. Normal hued optics. The mare had a sporty looking form, maybe a Thoroughbred mutt of some kind. She was not small by any means. My own burly frame stood at a whopping sixteen hands. Rather large for a Appaloosa. My aqua hued optics scanned over the mare once again awaiting her approach. My own maw held the same charming smile, crania held high and studly. Maybe I should puff my chest out too.. I was ready to play Prince Charming. Little did the naive mares ever suspect I was far from it. If I were human, I would have been Jack the Ripper.
I was silent as I awaited the beauty's approach and first words.

She approached the hoof beats, and soon found the owner of the sound. A blue roan Appaloosa stag was their owner, and Venom's mouth twisted into a devious smile, a new target, and he was perfect. She slowed her steps to dainty little trot, bouncing carelessly, it was amazing how good she was at giving off wrong impressions, or member the horses that saw her were too stupid to figure her out. Either way, it mattered not as she bounced out to the brute, a silly smile on her face. Creep into their hearts and minds, and tear them apart from the inside out. Venom suppressed a dark chuckle, this stag wouldn't know what hit him.
She slowed her pace, and began to step, with her knees carried high toward the brute. She stopped a bit closer then maybe another horse would, but Venom wasn't like any other horse.
"Why hello there! What are you doing on this particularly misty day?" she asked brightly, "I'm Vee." Her alias for everything. You'd think someone would have figured it out by now, but yet, her true identity stayed a mystery to most. Her orbs ran over the stags frame, he was tall for an Appaloosa, they were around the same height. He appeared strong looking, Venom could see the thick mussels hiding beneath the spotted pelt. Her silly grin spread, I can't wait to ruin this one! Words: 240 Muse: getting better Notes: still improving

I watched with mounting curiosity as the mare approached me at a flashy high stepping pace. It made me all the more excited to play my little game. Call it sixth sense maybe but she had an odd...feeling about her. Did it worry me? No not at all. In fact it made all the more curious what she was hiding under all that polished act.
"Well hello there yourself gorgeous! Its my pleasure to meet you. I'm just out for a stroll. What might such a pretty lady like yourself be doing out here all by her lonesome?" My voice was masculine and teasing as I spoke my words. As she stepped closer to my own bodice I reached out with my black muzzle and nipped at her reddish hued hide playfully. Before she could react, for better or worse I darted away with a rodeo buck. Stopping a few feet or so a way I grinned back. From my safe distance. If it weren't for the blasted fog I would have ran further, tempting the fae into a deadly hide and seek game. But, we could easily loose each other in the thick cloud cover lingering above the moist ground. I stood my ground as I awaited her reaction.
ooc:Sorry for such a short reply, it was a before bed attempt, will do better tomorrow.

~~Maple~~ Her eyes darted about the hazle colors dimmed and weary. She stumbled quickly through the mist unsure of her direction. Maple glanced at her heavily muscled bodice and forelegs, she needed them if she was to survive. Although she was a easily frightened one year old foal, she still had some fight, and she needed the muscels to show it. Survival of the fittest went a long way with her. Having been sexually, physically, mentally abused she was skittish, but, if she hadn't a place to go, she would fight, it wasn't her nature to run. She lashed her white tail as she stumbled again. Stupid ankle, stupid ankle, why couldn't you just heal already?!
She perked her ears alarmed, she had just heard some other horse talk. She looked down at her somewhat swollen ankle, tested how much pain she felt by pressing it down and determined that her life sucked anyways, what would it matter if another horse got to play with her?
"Now now Maple, let's not be a pessimist." Shaking her maple-brown head slightly she continued muttering to herself, "that wouldn't do t all, a pessimist attitude, however easy to be, is not going to keep me alive. Hope for the best." Okay, she was talking to herself, whatever, that was normal right? She opened her maw to retort to this statement, when she heard something that really frightened her, a stallion. The fog was distorting the noise and she had no idea where to run. So she stood for a second and bolted, adrenaline covering the pain of her partially healed leg. Her scarred body flew into a small clearing where the fog was less thick, and she realized that she had ran straight towards the stallion and the other horse, a mare. She reared up her eyes rolling and stood like a rabbit caught in a corner.

Her grin spread as the stag replied mimicking her tone. A challenge. That was quite alright with her. She laughed as the stallion playfully nipped at her hide, then bucked and ran to stand a bit further away. She approached him slowly, mischief dancing in her eyes. This would be a fun one.
"Well, I wouldn't call myself a beauty, but look at yourself! All the ladies must love you. Have you got a mate, herd?" She asked, evading his question, trying to deflect his curiosity, by turning the attention to him. Suddenly, quite literally out of nowhere, a mare burst our of the fog, her eyes wide, like a deer in headlights. She reared, freaking out. Venom's harks flew back against her own crown and she bared my pearly white teeth. Venom snorted at the new mare, a demand for her to explain herself.
"What was that?" She asked, quite annoyed, Venom hated being surprised. Her mind wondered if this new horse could be a potential victim. The mare's nerves seamed rattled already, but if there was something Venom knew, it was that, no matter how broken a horse was, you could always break them more. Humiliate them, discredit them, make them loose their minds. Push them, until they finally loose it. Making horses go insane was one of Venom's......special talents.
Her optics shifted from the stag to the mare, interested in how everything was going to play out, and when she could make a move to get in the other horses minds, and break them.

A charming smirk arose on my muzzle as I eyed the mare. Just what was this pretty little fae up to? This would be very fun. Especially the look on her face when she realized just what my true nature was. For one, it wasn't so noble. Well, I wouldn't call myself a beauty, but look at yourself! All the ladies must love you. Have you got a mate, herd? Hmm hmm, aren't we curious? "I object! You are quite stunning. Tsk tsk, I may have had my fair share of the ladies but lets just say none of them where right. I have no herd....yet."
If my grand master scheme was successful however I would soon have a growing herd. Many mares and foals. I would reign supreme, damn anyone or anything that stood in my way. And the best part, I would have fun corrupting each and every one of the horses I brought to my soon to be territory. The fae seemed to have either ignored or shrugged off my question of just what she was doing roaming out here alone. Not that I minded the attention. Oh well, I shall get you my pretty!
The thundering of hooves caught my attention immediately. Another horse bolted out of the fog, and reared. I snorted and danced in place, my ebony daggers tearing at the soft Earth beneath. My thoughts jumped to another stallion, coming to try and steal the mares attention. To my ultimate surprise I noticed it was not a stallion at all. No, it was a mare. Well not even a mare, barely a filly. She looked scared out of her bloody mind. Instinct drove my harks backwards as I surveyed the area for a crazed mother missing a young filly. Seeing none, I took a few tentative steps towards the foal.
First off I noticed she was pretty beat up. One of her legs looked moderately swollen, suggesting an injury of some sort. Vee on the other hand looked outwardly peeved to see another horse, a mare no less. Oh well, more attention for me!! My harks returned to their alert position as my voice boomed out, adressing the new arrival. "Hello little miss. Just where is your guardian?" Of course, by guardian I meant whoever it was that took care of or looked after the filly.

Maple stop flipping out... Relax, not all stallions are bad are they? Not all mares, right? Right? she slowed her bucking and kicking and stared as menacingly as she could at the mare, then slowly turned to face the other horse. Flattening her ears to her skull she looked the big male up and down.
"Hello little miss. Just where is your guardian?" Maple looked around as if she didn't know where they were, and bluffed.
"Oh, around here somewhere." She tried not to sound as frightened as she was, but, at the end of her sentence her voice quavered somewhat. She flicked her white tail and shivered because the mist was clinging to her pelt. She glanced down, avoiding eye contact with either of the horse, she still had her ears pinned back and she stood ready to fight. But, forcefully she relaxed her position and looked contemptuously over at the mare who, in turn, did not look overjoyed to see her.

Venom
The stag seamed to not mind the sudden appearance of the mare, well Venom was still reeling from her appearance. Calming herself she sighed, her harks unsticking themselves from her crown, and her taught frame relaxing. Warm air passed through her velveting nares as she took in the scents, trying to see if another horse was in the area, not keen on getting surprised once more. Once her small search had revealed nothing, Venom pricked her ears and turned her attention back to the two horses that were standing by her. "I don't believe I caught your name handsome!" She smiled coyly at the stag, and then turned to the filly, "And you? What are you called?" She still had a smile on her face, trying to recover from her shock.
Venom pawed at the earth for a bit, trying to formulate a better plan. If Venom was something, she was patient but she wanted to take both of these horses, and it would require a lot more effort then she had previously exerted. Her eyes raked over the two horses, the filly would be a bit of an easier target, just because she was younger. Easier to mold, easier to get her to trust Venom, but the stag, there was something about him, something that warned Venom that he would not be an easy target. Her gaze lingered on him for a little bit longer then necessary, her orbs searching his for any sign of weakness. She wanted to break him. He would be the best challenge.
She didn't drop her gaze, instead her optics flickered from the stag to the filly, meeting each of them in the eyes, and waiting for their response.

The small filly standing before me reeked of fear, I could spot a bluff a mile away. Likely, if she had someone around to protect her she wouldn't have been so frightened to see the duo. "In that case darling, why not come and chat with us until they find you? You never know whats lurking around here just waiting for a snack." My voice was slightly leering and taunting, purposely. We were all here, now we might as well have a little fun. Maybe this mare, Vee would care to join in as well.
I took a few prancing steps towards the smaller horse, just testing my luck. Vees words temporarily distracted me from the filly as I partially turned towards her with a knowing grin. I don't believe I caught your name handsome! "I am known only as Joker" Oh and how it fit, little did they know. I loved to joke around and play with my victims. There was still something about the mare I couldn't quite put a finger on...she seemed almost like she was sizing me up for something.
No matter, I could handle my own espicially against a mare. I wasn't above physical violence to put them in their place, like some stallions who claimed to be all high and mighty. I stood looking alertly between the two, mostly on the younger horse. I was intruiged, didn't she know what a terrible idea approaching strangers could be for someone her age? Decisions, decisions.

Okay so don’t panic, that stallion is much, much bigger then you and so is the mare. Breath, don’t forget to breath. What am I going to do? Oh gosh, oh gosh, oh gosh. Maple was flipping out inside, but, she tried to appear calm on the outside. She hardly registered what the large stallion said about staying, she was focused on leaving. But, was it safer to run away and maybe get caught by some other stallion, one with no mare to occupy it? Or to stay here? She looked at her surroundings, the fog covering most of it. Where would I go? The mare’s voice broke into her thoughts.
“I don't believe I caught your name handsome! And you? What are you called?”
"I am known only as Joker" he responded. ”My name is Maple. And what is yours?” she replied somewhat calmly despite her raging fear. She flicked her tail nervously wondering, what on God’s green earth was going to happen next.
